Al Ain, the Oasis
Known as the ‘garden city of the Gulf’ Al Ain is characterized by tree-lined avenues, oases and traditional falaj irrigation systems. Visit the Hili Gardens archeological site with 2,500-year-old Mesopotamian exhibits, Al Ain Palace Museum and Al Ain National Museum. Stroll in the Al Ain oasis where you observe date gardens being watered by the 2,000 year old aflaj (plural of falaj).
Visit the colorful camel market followed by lunch. The last stop on the way back to Abu Dhabi is at the Green Mubbazzarah hot springs situated at the foot of Jebel Hafeet.
